Artist Statement

The ever changing fashion industry relies heavily on the use of photography. My photographs combine the ideals of film noir and personal aesthetics to create a fashion narrative. I have paid close attention to color combinations and strong formal elements regarding the frame, to ensure the prime focus be on the model and the apparel being displayed. Each photograph gives the viewer a new feeling of voyeurism. In creating these photographs, I have combined historical aspects of fashion with a more modern appeal, using dramatic lighting and juxtaposition to set a cinematic scene.
